Redfin pic by me
Here are a few of the spots used by myself and my fishing partners over the last10 or so years . Originally this site was only for the bay but I was getting bored with only one side of fishing .There are many more diagrams , directions and pictures lying around and it's a matter of putting them all togetheragain . Below is a few from Nagambie / Victoria

These channels are fished when the water is dropped at the end of the irrigation season as during peak time they run extremely fast and are hard to fish. There are many old flow regulation structures that hold a large amount of fish  , both big and small . There are carp and some big brown trout and redfin .The trout are along way from their normal waters but they  keep going as if they are heading to the sea downstream .Many a time people have taken trout on fly near Murchison on the channels .

The first part to getting to these fishing spots is a northerly trip up the Goulburn Valley Hwy of about 5-6 kms out of Nagambie . When you get to the Cinamans Bridge turn off go Left. If you can get to a spot near the edge of the bridge have a go for some Golden Perch (yellow belly) ,the local worms or yabbies work well .

This next spot has you fishing around a heap of old stumps that were once the base from an old diversion weir . About 3-5 kms from the turn off from the bridge you will see an old farm house next to the channel . You can go over the fence to get here but you will  have to check with the owner if he is there , if not it's ussually ok to enter . Casting lures around here can produce some very big fish . These include TROUT and Redfin .

This spot is just a few kms up from the old farm house . There is a car park for the local  youth group .Jump the gate and walk about 300 mtrs to the old diversion weir. Spinning with blades  and tassie devils work well here . The best colour in Tassie Devil is yellow and brown . Even a missed cast that lands at your feet can get a fish . The local farmer often brings his cows across the water and a wave hello or the odd fish will keep him happy .Keep the area clean .
